Mid-Florida Tree Service
Brandon Tree TrimmingLike its neighbor, Tampa Florida, Brandon is humid with a subtropical climate. Because it is a little further inland, Brandon freezes overnight more often than Tampa & St.Petersburg.
Florida's very hot summers & usual heavy rainfall create a great environment that nurtures ornamentals, fruit trees and shade trees. The cooler, even rare freezing nights in what little bit of winter Florida actually gets may damage fruit and ornamentals, but seldom does any real damage to the core of a tree.
Brandon residents, like other parts of Florida, have more concern with spring and summer storms. Tropical storms and hurricanes are terrifyingly destructive, but direct hits are rare. Much more frequent are our afternoon thunderstorms created by opposing sea breezes from the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. These storms bring lightning, high winds and the rare tornado. When a tropical cyclone or thunderstorm drops a tree, or part of one, on your land, home or car, call Mid Florida Tree service to safely remove it and minimize the losses caused by it.
Proper tree maintenance helps reduce the impact of these storms by minimizing the likelihood of limbs or entire trees falling.
Certified arborists evaluate your trees, taking appropriate action, trimming as needed and fertilizing to ensure healthy growth.
When you need a tree removed in Brandon, you'll be subject to the rules of the Hillsborough County Government.
A Tree Removal Permit is required for the removal of trees on residential and non-residential properties for all tree species, with the exception of exempted trees as defined by the Land Development Code. Also, dead trees do not require a permit, however, photo documentation is encouraged prior to removal of the tree. If the dead tree is on a property undergoing new construction or development, a site review by county staff is necessary to evaluate the dead tree and proceed with the pertinent code compliance action.
Hillsborough County requires a staff member from Natural Resources to evaluate the tree before removal. A Certified Arborist Affidavit is accepted as an alternative to the staff visit. Mid Florida Tree Service is qualified & able to provide that affidavit when appropriate.
